The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is now all over and pretty much cleared away and our congratulations go to ‘Trailfinders Australian Garden presented by Flemings’ for winning the judges best in show award and ‘The Arthritis Research UK Garden by Chris Beardshaw’ for winning the peoples’ choice award.
And now it’s time for our own little show! Well more of a display garden…we ourselves are off to ‘The Rutland County Show’ (http://www.rutlandcountyshow.co.uk/) to build a small garden to display some of our skills to the visitors.
The show is open on Sunday 2nd June for the one day and is being held for the last time at ‘Burley on the Hill’ near Oakham as it is moving to the new ‘Rutland Show Ground’ next year.
There will even be an opportunity for the kids to see ‘Titan’ the robot (Which must be read with great meaning as in the world of wrestling, though my memories are more of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks than robots!) which looks in the words of my son ‘Awesome!’ there’s going to be lots to see along with The Knights of the Dammed Jousting team, chainsaw carvings, a wildlife petting zoo and birds of prey demonstrations along with the livestock and equine shows. We’re hoping that the weather is going to be a lot better than last year otherwise we’re going to be getting a little wet on the day!
Come and say hello if you’re there and let us know what you think to our garden.
